Song for Song is being built around a simple idea: music brings people together, and everyone can help shape the night.
The current Windows private beta uses the host’s local music library. Guests join through their phone browsers and don’t need their own music files or a separate app.
This beta is our proof of concept - a chance to test the experience, improve reliability, and discover what makes people want to play again. Our longer-term goal is to bring Song for Song to a wider audience through integration with a major music streaming provider.
Except for YouTube, streaming integration is not available in this beta and will depend on provider permissions, technical requirements, and any necessary agreements. Your feedback will help us understand the demand and guide that next stage.
Beta Expectations
Song for Song is currently in a private beta. Approved testers are expected to use the app in real or realistic party settings, document any bugs, confusing behavior, or unexpected issues they encounter, and provide meaningful feedback after testing. Your participation will help improve reliability, usability, and the overall party experience before launch.
Start with smaller gatherings of 4–8 players to become familiar with the Host Station and player flow. Once the app is running reliably, expand to 9–18 players, then larger gatherings of up to 30–40+ players to help test performance, pacing, and usability at scale.
